The University of Alberta School of Public Health is seeking a Project Coordinator to be an integral part of the Centre for Healthy Communities and PLACE Research Lab.

The purpose of the Policy, Location and Access in Community Environments (PLACE) Research Lab is to systematically investigate relationships between people-policy-place by developing, evaluating and mobilizing evidence about population health interventions and other strategies that promote lifelong health and chronic disease prevention. Founded in 2017, the Centre for Healthy Communities grew out of the Centre for Health Promotion Studies, one of the founding groups of the University of Alberta’s School of Public Health.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with Dr. Candace Nykiforuk, PLACE Senior Program Lead and director of the Centre for Health Communities, along with other staff (e.g., Research Associates, PhD and MSc students). The incumbent will provide coordination support ongoing and new research and evaluation projects and will, for the most part, specifically focus on coordinating and supporting ongoing and new research, knowledge mobilization, and evaluation projects related to community planning and environments.
