Tabulating Edmonton Neighbourhood Income Levels

About this project: The goal was to facilitate comparison of the City of Edmonton services between neighbourhoods with different demographic characteristics. For each Edmonton neighbourhood, neighbourhood profiles were downloaded from the City of Edmonton’s Residential Neighbourhood Profiles page. The value for median income was entered into a spreadsheet. The median income from these profiles was derived from the 2011 Canadian Census, although this data is not available for several communities with low populations. The new dataset was merged with existing City of Edmonton data on citizenship, language, education, and employment, that was derived from municipal census data.
