Policy Opportunity Windows – Engaging Research Uptake in Practice (POWER UP!) was a team of researchers, practitioners, and policy makers who worked together to share knowledge and evidence regarding chronic disease prevention in Canada. Dr. Candace Nykiforuk was the Co-Lead of this project with Dr. Kim Raine.

POWER UP! helped decision-makers, researchers, practitioners, and the public create policy change by:

  • Demonstrating leadership
  • Providing tools
  • Supporting efforts

By working together, the team was able to aide policy change and help promote a healthy community.
